An exciting opportunity exists to work with a dedicated team supporting students and staff within the field of Fine Art and the wider Subject Area of Art Design and Architecture.

The post holder will be required to deliver a variety of induction programmes to students in, casting, molding, woodwork and welding support. The ability to construct and adapt studio and exhibition spaces, produce effective teaching aids and maintain a safe working environment will be essential. A current knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to the environment would be an advantage to the role.

The post holder must be able to competently assist with the essential maintenance of course equipment and be able to contribute accurately to material requisition, as well as be confident in sourcing new suppliers and the best deals to ensure value for money is achieved for the University in line with procurement requirements.

The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the learning environment is adequately equipped, whilst supporting and supervising a diverse range of learners in using varying equipment and software.

You must be able to plan and organise a complex workload within a very busy and constantly changing environment and possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team as required, providing a flexible approach to support the students’ learning experience.

A Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience is required and ideally candidates should possess a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject. Experience of working with young adults in a teaching or training environment would also be advantageous.
