THe post

Arts University Bournemouth is the leading professional arts university dedicated to turning creativity into careers. Offering courses in art, design, media and performance, we are passionate about our specialist subjects and dedicated both to education and the creative industries which we serve.

An exciting opportunity exists to work with the team of staff supporting the delivery of our Preparation for Higher Education courses.

The successful applicant will be required to deliver a variety of induction programmes, construct and adapt teaching aids, models and samples, and assist with the essential maintenance of our 3D Design resource areas and studios.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the learning environment is adequately equipped whilst supporting a diverse range of learners to use relevant 3D Design equipment and software.

Good working knowledge of health and safety is essential to the post, along with up to date knowledge of a range of 3D Design techniques. You must be able to plan and organise a complex workload and possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team as required. Previous use of Sketchup 3D modelling software, Adobe Photoshop and illustrator would be an advantage.

Applicants will have a level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience and ideally will possess a degree level qualification, or equivalent experience, in a relevant subject. Previous experience of working with young adults in a teaching or training environment would also be advantageous.
