THe post

Arts University Bournemouth is the leading professional arts university dedicated to creative education and career success. Offering courses in art, design, architecture, media and performance, we are passionate about our specialist subjects and dedicated both to education and the creative industries which we serve.

We are seeking to recruit a School Administrator for a fixed term contract who is organised and experienced within the delivery of administration duties. Ideally you will be a people person and an experienced, self-motivated administrator who is dedicated to delivering high standards of customer service.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic in supporting our academic staff, leading to the enhancement of our students’ educational experience. You will need to be accurate, organised and able to prioritise your own workload within a busy environment. You will be able to work well under pressure.

You will have a collaborative and flexible approach, and you will be working with colleagues from across the University, including academic staff, to contribute ideas for improving working practices to ensure manageable workloads for yourself and colleagues. You will be diplomatic and able to handle potentially sensitive situations and information. Ideally, you will also have gained previous experience within a similar environment. Previous experience in HE administration may be useful but is not essential.
