THe post

Arts University Bournemouth is the leading professional arts university dedicated to creative education and career success. Offering courses in art, design, architecture, media and performance, we are passionate about our specialist subjects and dedicated both to education and the creative industries which we serve.

We are looking to recruit to the post of Lecturer for the BA (Hons) Visual Effects for Film and Television course within the School of Media and Performance. We are seeking a specialist to support the drawing and visualization aspects of the course.

The BA (Hons) Visual Effects for Film and Television course is focused on the creative use of technologies, where technical training in industry-standard software is informed by traditional art and design skills in order to enhance the aesthetic awareness of practitioners.
The course is focused on best industry practice and methodology to prepare students for positions in visual effects for live-action film production and related screen industries.

The individual in this post will undertake the role of Drawing and visualization tutor, working alongside the course leader and technical team to develop the observational craft skills of the VFX artist. The role will require teaching at all three academic levels, meeting unit requirements and individual student project briefs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with vision and drive to shape the ambitions of this course, working with colleagues at AUB to build and deliver a learning experience that will allow students to become the next generation of creative artists in the visual effects industry.
